Students at Summer Camp 2009

The goal of PTEI middle school summer camp is to actively engage middle school students in the highly interdisciplinary field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Campers are challenged to utilize regenerative medicine strategies to repair a serious injury of star athlete, LeBron James, in order that he can return to peak performance.

The tissue engineering camp was replicated with high school students at North Carolina A&T University as a component of their outreach within their National Science Foundation/Engineering Research Center grant, "Revolutionizing Metallic Biomaterials."
